New exchange format for our PhD students tested

More professional exchange and getting to know each other personally was a frequently expressed wish of our PhD students, who are supervised by both the IAP and the Fraunhofer IOF. Even one of our external PhD students from Zwickau made the journey to take part.
The focus was therefore on the three poster sessions for a concrete exchange. There were short keynote speeches from some departments of both institutes (including the Helmholtz Institute Jena) as well as a more detailed presentation of Prof Blahnik's new field of work.

Over 50 PhD students attended this first event. It is clear that there is room for improvement in the format - but the feedback on the event was generally positive and a continuation is desired.
