On November 22, Jena shone as a city of science - and we are overwhelmed: With almost 12,000 guests, the Long Night of Science was one of the city's biggest events.

The University of Jena was the biggest “player” with over 110 activities and presented hands-on science: Guided tours, experiments, lectures, hands-on activities as well as science and poetry slams.

We were one of the university's 110 stations on the Beutenberg. Together with the Lichtwerkstatt and the Fraunhofer IOF, we presented ourselves at the Abbe Center of Photonics with lectures, exhibits and hands-on experiments. We were absolutely thrilled by the strong interest of our more than 750 visitors, both young and old, and were able to answer many questions from minute one until midnight and put a little wonder on many a face. Such immediate feedback is rare and a motivational shower! Thank you very much for your curiosity and openness!
