The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy offers various rooms for its students to both work and relax. Among them are three common rooms (one in Max-Wien-Platz 1, and two in Helmholtzweg 4) that each have a couch and whiteboards or blackboards to work on exercise sheets together. Depending on the room, you can make yourself coffee, tea, or even use a microwave.

Another place to study and relax is the Freifläche at Helmholtzweg in between Helmholtzweg 3 and Helmholtzweg 3. During the warmer seasons, the Freifläche is equipped with two blackboards; a table tennis plate and different seating options can be used the entire year.

Apart from these, the faculty offers its students more options, ranging from Makerspaces to a piano that can be booked. The offers can be seen below.

  • Computerpool

The PC pool is open to all students as a place to work. You can find a printer there, too.

  • Play the Piano

The PAF owns a piano that may be used by the students. If you want to book a time slot, you can do this here.
