Specialise in Optics and Photonics

The specialisation in optics and photonics of the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy (PAF) at Friedrich Schiller University (FSU) Jena takes place at the Institute of Applied Physics (IAP), the Institute of Optics and Quantum Electronics (IOQ), the Institute for Applied Optics and Biophysics (IAO), and the Abbe School of Photonics (ASP) via excellent lectures, seminars and small projects. This allows you to get a feeling of day to day research in modern optics and photonics, to peek into our laboratories and to get to know our researchers, their research group and our institutes.
