Research Areas
Our research concentrates on theoretical, numerical and experimental studies of wave propagation, light-matter interaction and nonlinear dynamics in optical systems.
Our research group combines theoretical research, modeling, and experimental implementation in the fields of photonics and nanophotonics. We work on fundamental questions concerning the interaction of light with matter and translate these into technological concepts. Our focus areas include quantum phenomena in coupled light systems, the development and optimization of nano-optical devices such as nanowire lasers, the nonlinear dynamic behavior of coupled excitons and polaritons, and the investigation of hybrid nanostructures for applications in spectroscopy and microscopy. The goal is to understand fundamental mechanisms, advance experimental verification, and unlock new functional principles for real-world technologies.
